Moss didn’t just get to exhibit at this year’s EuroShop. We had the fantastic opportunity to present as well! We love taking the stage, and this time we shared some behind-the-scenes insight on our collaboration and work with the artist Yadegar Asisi. Together we partner to create the ultimate panoramic experience!

Moss’s Heidi Katherine and Peter Bottenberg went into detail on bringing to life Asisi’s magnificent work, which focuses on gigantic 360-degree panoramas. Our collaboration has involved developing a workflow to realize his enormously-sized 3,000 sq m visual worlds. Asisi’s latest work, Carola’s Garden is now on display in Leipzig. Read on for some of the incredible facts and figures when it comes to creating art installations of this scale and quality!

Beyond the sheer beauty of Asisi’s concept, it’s been all about how to realize such a “big picture” for us – for more than 15 years, the largest images on a global scale have been created by our team in Germany. It’s been an honor for us to be part of such groundbreaking experiences. You have to see it to believe it – and even then it’s unbelievably breathtaking!

Asisi has brought iconic scenes to life – 16 panoramas in all – from Everest and the Titanic, to the Great Barrier Reef and scenes from Rome 312. For the sake of scale, the large viewing platform in these images is 6 stories tall! Each work is concepted, researched and created by Asisi and his team for a year or longer before it goes into print production for installation.

Asisi’s team conducts numerous research trips, drawings, photo shoots and collaborative meetings. Asisi even creates custom music for each installation. And once the project is installed, he paints onto it live with UV reactive paint for the lighting. Each artwork is truly immersive and dynamic in a spectacular and emotional way.
