As part of the Catholic University of America’s campus renovation, Little Diversified Consulting reached out with a clear design vision for transforming the university’s Spirit Store into a bold, vibrant destination. Our role was to translate that creative vision into reality, executing with precision, quality, and an eye for detail.
Over several weeks, we partnered closely with the design team, advising on materials, finishes, and fabrication techniques to bring their intent to life. Every element—down to substrate selection and finishing—was carefully considered to ensure the final space reflected the university’s identity and delivered on the design goals.
The result is a layered, energetic environment that elevates school pride. We fabricated and installed custom signage and branding elements throughout the store, using a rich mix of metal, acrylic, fabric, and vinyl to create dimension and visual interest. Our Color Correct team ensured the university’s signature red and deep blue were perfectly matched across all materials, printed or painted.
The centerpiece is a dramatic 14′ x 10′ Prolight illuminated lightbox featuring the school mascot and logo. The face is made from custom red-painted, waterjet-cut perforated panels—capturing the bold, iconic presence envisioned by the designers.
We also brought to life a thoughtful heritage wall: a felt pennant display mounted on painted rigid boards, showcasing historic logos and celebrating the university’s legacy. Throughout the store, wallcoverings feature standout athletes and inspirational phrases, while vinyl graphics applied to red and blue lockers in the hallway extend the visual language beyond the store itself.
This refreshed Spirit Store is more than just a retail space; it’s a branded experience. By aligning closely with the design intent and applying expert fabrication, we helped create a space that now serves as a vibrant hub for students, alumni, and campus visitors.
