Showing off Structural Design Possibilities in China
With a history of island exhibits of impressive scale, Chinese company Ling Tong sought a new look for its exhibit at APPPEXPO. In collaboration with Moss Changzhou, the exhibit industry manufacturer embraced ideas that went beyond popular norms for the use of tension fabric and banners in Chinese trade shows.
At the heart of Ling Tong’s chosen concept was a structure comprised of large fabric fins. Standing out from the crowd, the fins created a sculptural sense of place that blended accessibility with a feel of exclusivity. With relaxed asymmetrical curves, the trade show exhibit had a soaring, cavernous feel and appropriately ample seating below for a dynamic space.
These ceiling fins used the Moss Classic™ round tube system and pillowcase fabric construction. While the assembly relied on a floor-supported truss, it was smartly hidden by the design.
True to its legacy of having a significant show presence, Ling Tong’s rhythmic and bold design emerged as a focal point with cohesive and exciting large scale.
Furthermore, through the design collaboration with Moss Changzhou, the company was able to reuse elements of the booth for its presence at C-star Expo, the retail gathering in Shanghai.
